Stoke-on-Trent achieves World Craft City status

We are living in a WORLD CRAFT CITY!!! Stoke-on-Trent!

"It ... underlines how wonderful, historic, and unique our great city is. Our heritage dates back hundreds of years and we are the world capital of ceramics, visible in museums all over the world. And yet our craft and ceramics represent not only our past, but also our present, and without question our bright future," said Cllr Jane Ashworth, city leader.

For me, it also underlines the worth of a great team of colleagues at Stoke Creates - and active cultural partners across the city - who worked so hard to achieve this for our city.
